FOOD FOR THOUGHT

A social design campaign created to highlight
the harm single use plastics do to our everyday lives.

WHY FOOD FOR THOUGHT

The visuals we present are inspired by research done with the help of European citizens. The research showed traces of microplastics in their bodies. There are not many ways plastics can enter a human body except from when we eat. We live at a time when plastics are everywhere, even in our food.

about us

Our goal

The food for thought campaign was created to inform young people about the dangers of single use plastics, items like plastic bottles, plastic plates, plastic bags.

Furthermore, we wanted to highlight the fact that single use plastics can end up in our food. How? From other animals, like fish that consume by accident plastics we throw in the ocean.

our work

The Kebab.

By 2050, virtually every seabird species on the planet will be eating plastic.
The Pizza.

More than 40% of plastic is used just once.
The Pasta.

Humans may be consuming anywhere from 39,000 to 52,000 microplastic particles a year.
The Kebab.

2 million plastic bags are used every minute worldwide.
The Pizza.

In our lifetime we consume about 20 kg of microplastic.
The Pasta.

There could be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050.
